We're more than a moving company; we're a brotherhood committed to moving people through life's challenges. We hire those seeking a supportive community, offering a living wage of $40/hour, mentorship, guidance, and a place to grow. We don't believe in bottom barrel hiring and the struggles it brings; instead, we invest in building people up, fostering a network of lifelong friendship and mutual support both on and off the job.

Why We’re Not on Yelp

We’re not on Yelp. We don’t buy leads. And we’re a nonprofit—for the same reason.

These companies take from the bottom line, and at Good Movers, our bottom line goes to the crew.

Buying leads costs 15–30% of a job’s profit, and most of that money goes to companies that never lifted a finger. Some aren’t even based here. That’s not right.

We started this company to make sure the people doing the work get paid what they deserve. No middlemen. No ad budgets. No chasing leads. Just real work, real pay, and a structure that doesn’t squeeze from the bottom to feed the top.

That’s why we’re a nonprofit. That’s why we don’t play the ad game. And that’s why when you hire us, your money goes to the people who show up and do the job right.

About GoodMovers Moving Co.

I started Good Movers as a way to pay myself a decent wage as I continued my education. I realized how much the hard work and financial stability helped me have a positive outlook on life and assisted me in my personal growth. This realization undermined the entire labor industry.

It is mind-boggling to me that in this day and age, an American family can hire an American company to do a labor-based job, and companies like Yelp, Google, Facebook, Angie’s List—some not even in America—get to take a substantial amount off the top of that service job. The same thing happens with most businesses as they focus on capital gains—the get-rich-quick scheme.

This is why I established Good Movers as a nonprofit. There is no one at the top to take a cut that forces low wages and penny-pinching to reach a bottom line. We do not use ad companies and we do not pay for leads.

One thing we do is pay every crew member $40/hour. There is no opportunity for growth and there is no boss that these guys answer to. They are in it for the transactional agreement of getting paid well for the work they do. No one is being undermined, manipulated, or taken advantage of.

We are Good Movers. We would love to move your house, and we will outperform any company out there—because we are paid more and charge you less.

Yes, it really is that simple.
